I wonder how much longer American people are gonna stand for this and let it happen?

You'd be surprised how many people don't know what's going on or agree with Trump's tactics. It's truly scary to listen to people who think a wannabe dictator is no big deal.

I agree 100%. I see it everywhere. Truly truly frightening. I’ll tell you one thing: none of them are my friends anymore. I have no interest in spending even a moment with any of those morons.

It’s because they have been groomed for decades by their churches and politicians in Red states to eagerly accept all authority figures. “Uncle Sam knows best” Scientific study by John’s Hopkins some years back show the larger “reptilian” brains in most conservatives tend to accept authority easier

That’s kind of interesting. I never seen that study, but it sounds right.

I forget the year, it’s been awhile, but I’m sure if you were to research the data it would pop up. The supposition is folks who are deeply conservative in thought often display a larger or more involved brainstem than average compared to cerebral cortex, and are often more receptive to authority.

Well let us never forget that 49% of American voters elected an executive that rejects empirical truths. Triumphing their collective ignorance over the experience of science and the wisdom of the past is the way forward for the GOP.

It reminds me sadly of the people at Jonestown. 900 of them stood in line for hours to get their cyanide laced drink to feed their children and themselves intentionally to die because of abject stupidity. I feel like that’s where we are and I’m frightened.
