Fascism has never been defeated by peaceful protest. There are advantages & leverage previous resistance movements didn't have, though. Blue States are the economy, so Blue States need to be organizing outside the federal government & drawing up plans to at least threaten secession.
Blue State governors need to be recruiting defense militias, & taking control of the military infrastructure within their States, & preparing for the likelihood of conflict.
The population still needs to rise up in peaceful protest. Massive demonstrations give the opposition leaders legitimacy and motivation. In turn, that motivates the population. Can't wait for any one agency to save the day. We ALL need to unite in resistance.
Demonstrations can be important in building solidarity, & once something adjacent to opposition leadership emerges, certainly vast visible support will have potency. I know Democrats, though, & they're too quick to reward performative antics, & chase vibes, so that instinct needs to be curbed.
