It's embarrassing to say thank god he is white. My late spouse took more after his mother and had an olive complexion and never lost his accent despite being in Canada for 40 years.

Same. Husband has an accent - olive skin. Oldest daughter, and 4 of 9 grandkids get a great tan every year! Youngest daughter and 5, we blotch….sigh…. I have blue eyes - husband brown. Daughters blue eyes. 4 of 9 grandkids, blue eyes.
