I turned off the TV when I learned that she would be on the show because my reaction to her voice and rhetoric puts me a poor frame of mind for participating in a church service that I was going to in the next hour. But her non answer that you describe is not at all surprising to me.

I think it wasn't really a question. More just pointing out reality in the form of a question. Any answer she gave was always going to be irrelevant. The point was made. Although, he COULD have said " I'll take that as a 'Yes'".
