Well, no. To kill them with the gun that would be a rather messy bludgeoning act of physically beating them with the gun. That's why people are almost always killed or hurt by the bullets.

Again, that would only be if the person had been physically beaten to death with the gun itself. No bullets. That's where we get into publishing false or misleading statements.

Yes, there are. And to avoid confusion most people aren't afraid to use a few more words, and split a sentence up into two for the sake of accuracy. Out of curiosity, are you from the US? Their news media tends to publish at a lower reading level. . .
