To amplify all the fighters. Do what you do with the banned book club. Have a segment where you amplify one democrat a week who is doing it right. Choose people no one else is talking about. You have the power to do that. 8/

In this piece, you said that you don’t know what happens behind closed doors and you’re not listening to people in Washington, but maybe you need to a bit because the people you named are the same people that everyone already knows. 9/
I really appreciate your work. I think you’re doing incredible work but this segment was shortsighted. This segment just affirmed what people were already feeling and what they were feeling is something I have been fighting against for six months. You did not help with that. 10/
I’m sure you’re just gonna see me as another person complaining and that’s fine but I needed to get this off my chest and if you would like to have me on my show to talk more about this, 11/
I would be more than willing to be part of a segment where you highlight some of our fighters people aren’t paying attention to. You have one of the loudest voices in the world. Please use it to change the conversation. 12/12
Thank you for the work you do.
Emendation: "History's begging for American voters to pull heads from asses & back to well-informed, principled leadership. If you're part of this country's electorate but unprepared to vote lucidly, conscientiously, & patrotically against fascist oligarchy, then you don't deserve this republic."
What a brilliant thread🧵. I really appreciate the work you’re doing👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. I hope he takes you on your offer.
That was fantastic Ariella.
Thank you for this. It’s been infuriating to argue against false narratives. Hell, even my not quite as online Rep has been doing constant tele-town halls & organizing incredible events with job assistance fairs for fired fed workers, healthcare outreach, food help, etc. All of these things matter.🍸
Who’s your rep?
Don Beyer from NoVa.❤️
Those things absolutely matter! Those are the kinds of things that voters feel and see.
Sure, a lot of things. Yet, mostly BAU. Do you think, BAU is what is needed now?
@skyview.social tree
Got their ass
Standing ovation, Ariella! This is why I follow you and other independent journalists! I'm much better informed from reading your posts than I'd be watching cable news hosts recycling the same 4 or 5 politicians.
I agree - I think the problem is the echo-chamber focus of major media players. It doesnt leave any room for the good things happening to promote dem values. He is saying, in short: play more to what we, the left leaning news - wish to hear

Wow. This was fantastic. I tell anyone who complains that Dems aren’t doing enough, about you. Thank you for also doing the work.
I think it’s possible to praise Dems for things they do right while criticizing things they do wrong. I mean, that’s supposed to be how it works. People who are only on one side yelling at the other and calling them names are really annoying and tiresome.
And if people did the first, I wouldn’t have a problem with the second
Fair enough. I’ve gotten yelled at by intransigent people on both sides. We’ve got plenty of people to fight besides each other.
I hope he reads this entire thread! Thank you for what you do.
Ariella is stellar in documenting what media ignore but that matters incredibly. Ours is a diverse and powerful movement BECAUSE we don't default to a couple of leaders. All hands on deck. Up to media to TELL THAT STORY which they are NOT doing. Ari could. Or he can whine like all the other goobers.
Is @velshi.com going to acknowledge this detailed thread or ignore all the points she made?
They did they asked for my email hopefully something’s gonna come up that but he is acknowledging it. You just can’t necessarily see it because of the way threads work on blue sky.
👍 Good!
Thank you. Ali is usually very good, and I believe his heart is in the right place, but he, and many journalists like him, need to do the kind of listening to more people that they insist upon from Schumer and Jeffries.
Wonderful response, Ariella, I hope Velshi reads it and takes it to heart. Thanks for all you do to shine a light on the actual work being done.
Thank you Arielle, you are so right. We’re sick of regurgitated news. These people live in a news bubble and are often unaware of how society sees it. I wish they would get off their high castle cookie cutter news story and report on what Americans are thinking & feeling. ✊
Your complaint is thoughtful and I appreciate it.
Wonderful thread!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is an excellent idea. Will you help us curate such a list?
I would love nothing more!
Thank you. How should we connect about this? You could simply give me names and my team can follow up. Whatever works for you
Email me at ariella.elm@gmail.com and we’ll discuss further
Thank YOU, Ariella!
👊👊👊👊
Sweet.
Well done and good for Velshi. He’s one of my favorite journalists. Not everyone is a street fighter or a moving speaker. We need the Schumers of the world doing what they do
The “well done” was directed to you. I truly appreciate your perspective. We need much more of it.
Would love to see this happen! Thank you both.
Thank you for listening. I would love to watch this!
Love the willingness to listen. 👏🏼
📌
THIS is something I can't wait to see! @ariellaelm.bsky.social does just incredible work
I love this idea- we need to build up those who are fighting the good fight and let others know what they are doing. One of the worst aspects of the current situation is that so many of us feel there is little we can do. I think that's at the root of much Democratic frustration and anger.
Good for you for listening to people.
💯 excellent!
Thanks Ali!
This exchange gives me hope.
Wow. 🙌🙌🙌
Good Ali, now here’s hoping your other media compatriots also do the same. And keep it up
👏👏👏
