Worth noting, however, that the two most commonly kept parrots, budgerigars and cockatiels, have never successfully colonized anywhere long-term. There was a budgie colony for a while in FL, but it did not last long. Even in conditions similar to Australia, they are both poor colonizers.
I came across this table during my research, fascinating that they can hit pretty high numbers but can't sustain them
And FL is the only place this has happened. They cannot even build up populations within Australia and they are escaping there all the time!
