That was the rationale for Berners who happily allowed Trump to beat HRC. It was (chiefly) privileged white shrug, and here it is again being used as an excuse from being active in the fight to preserve Democracy.

Yet "burn it all down" was the refrain from legions of Berners devoted to the idea that the Supreme Court didn't matter and implying that the destruction we warned about was necessary for a new start. They ignored the idea that once fascism took power, there would be no "new start," just fascism.
