It seems to me that since a majority of our services including education, research, and emergency weather response will not be coming from the federal government, we should drastically reduce federal taxes and increase state taxes. Not ideal, but rn our taxes are going to ICE and corruption.

States should withhold taxes from the government to pay for emergencies.

Not an option, unfortunately. Federal taxes go directly from the citizen to the federal government. The states never see that money
