BS. The waste is deadly toxic and has a 10,000 year half life, and there is still no viable solution for it.

Hilarious how many people will claim there are solutions to the nuclear waste problem without actually stating what it would be.

But there is so little nuclear waste being produced that effectively putting it into rockets wouldn't be unfeasible. People don't do that because there are safe places to store it at home(The deadliest accident involving nuclear waste involved a incorrectly disposed x-ray machine).

Sure there is. Yeet it into the sun with all the billionaires.

emissions from coal power plants release dozens of times more radiation into the environment than sealed nuclear waste casks (per unit of energy). we already have a safe/viable solution for long-term storage as well, but public fear over nuclear prevented it from going through.

Saying a long term solution exists (and is viable) is a lot different than proving it.

Ignorant of what is already done and recycling and some of the storage facilities.

Now that is actual bullshit. The waste generated, while having a long half life, can be easily stored safely, and the ratio of waste to power generated makes thinking that it's a problem laughable. To be anti-nuclear power you need to actively disregard all of the data and facts around it.

It needs appropriate regulations and educated and qualified people to keep up with them. BUT USA is reigning those in across the board. We've had two nuclear accidents in my lifetime. 1 negligence 2 on Earth's revenge. We still aren't aware of the damage. Safe as long as you're not irradiated.

So explain why there have been articles of "radioactive aligators" and entire towns of people being inflicted with radiation based cancers?

Educate yourself in science and what the practises are regarding spend nuclear fuel.

You don't need a "solution" for it, it's not like there is tons and tons of waste being generated every year. It's easily controllable.

Nobody’s arguing for coal. There are plenty of other options. None are perfect, but most are better than creating 10,000 year toxic problems.

No, when people argue against nuclear they are in practice arguing for coal and natural gas. See Germany and New York. Specially because not all places have good sunlight and wind and because replacing oil for transportation will require a lot more energy.
