The ICE budget is now set to be approximately what the NIH budget was. We’re shifting money from solving real problems to solving fictitious problems.

The GOP has played the "Don Quixote" card very effectively. Jousting imaginary monsters....claiming victory.
Trump & his gang of THUGS may "think" they're pulling the wool over EVERYONE'S eyes but WE SEE the TRUTH! Its NOT about HELPING this Country, it's about DESTROYING it and making us a POLICE STATE like ALL AUTOCRATIC Govts do!🤬
No..the point is to solve the problem of freedom and democracy...the ICE budget is thr gop private army.
And creating monumental problems.
They’re mobilizing and arming themselves for a full-on military assault on Blue America.
To build Trump’s private army.
Everyone who's going to be hired with the massive increase in ICE funding from the bill signed July 4th has already seen the actions of ICE that have gone on for months. The beatings. The children. The cancer patients. The U.S. citizens and military veterans. The immigrants attending their hearings.

Coincidence? I think not.
All of it another potential money-laundering scheme by Trump. We have no idea how any of that money will be actually be spent. We only know it's being stolen from the People.
I guess best case scenario they waste it all on grift rather than use it efficiently to harm people
Too late. The Republican Party made the UGLY BILL the law of the land. Harming the American people is now the law of the land.
It's only a "fictitious" problem if you beleive the bullshit reasons Trump gives for the deportations. The REAL reason is that the U.S. Census Bureau projects white people will become a minority in the U.S. by 2045.
#failedstate
If I was in the US I wouldn't want all that tax money spent on ICE.
And harming instead of curing.
Guess where you will work if you want to eat, feed your family, or get Medicaid in the near future? Those ICE jobs are government jobs, not private sector jobs. Shrink the government much? Not sure how the elderly or kids will handle that assignment.
“solving”
To literally causing problems. Putting all our immigrants into concentration camps is not going to be good for the economy or anything else. We should be welcoming more immigrants here.
The ICE budget isn't to solve a problem. It's to train them for what is coming next. Think Germany in the 1930's...
Or shifting money from solving problems to creating problems.
Shift is from creativity to destruction.
Trump's new budget for his own Gestapo secret police ICE is larger than the 2022 and 2023 Russian military budget. Russia was (and is) at war. Masked unidentified paramilitary forces are detaining kidnapping deporting denying due process in America and we funded it more than Russia's military

Oh I think that they’re genuinely preparing to “solve a problem”, it’s just not the one that they say they’re trying to solve.
The "problem" is rapid and large demographic change. And as Harvard prof David Levitsky said 4 years ago, is associated with ending democracy. Pro-immigration advocates should have been aware of the risks and sought slower demo change (e.g. 300k/yr instead of 1m+/yr).
“A solution in search of a problem.”
The problem for them is based on the bullshit "great replacement" theory. They are real, live dyed-in-the-wool white supremacists, and they are (again) in charge of the government of the United States. The situation is quite dire.
