It had a low ceiling that ran the length of the club. Add a 4 foot stage and a lot of hell can break loose. Saw Motörhead there mid 80s. Can confirm.

Nice. I believe my cousins seen DRI there and who know who. Unfortunately I was too young to go to those shows.
