Well, we COULD create a well-regulated militia to meet that threat. After all, they kept insisting we'd need all these guns for just such a thing one day.

You wanna see how fast guns become illegal? Lol
Armed citizenry is no match vs targeted drone strikes and armored vehicles. It’s not the 1790s.
That being said, American buildings are no match for flying airplanes. And it's not the early 2000's either
9/11 part II is a thing that is going to happen, by the way, and the current "administration" is going to use it as a justification for what comes next
there are still people who drive those tanks and operate those drones, those are the people we need to get through too. Technology requires lots of people to operate correctly, hell we're watching the ukraine military invent ways to circumvent that in real time.
There are many ways to avoid certain types of drones. Drone strikes on citizens most likely would cause other countries to get involved Or you just die on your knees in a concentration camp, or slowly starve, or they work you do death as a slave. Or you might make them think twice. Maybe survive.
It would be VERY hard to take all the guns given the lax laws for so long. Most pro gun states don’t even require stores to keep records, or register. Then there are stolen ones, private sales, gifted guns, etc. There’s 120 guns per 100 in the US I think?
