True but an interesting point raised. America won't change from within, but can it be changed from without if that's what it takes to regain the world's trust and its own credibility on the global stage? Seems there's a dichotomy: we want to be isolationist but we also want to be a world player.
It can't be changed from without and still be ours; whether it's fucked or saved by others, the end result won't be because of us. And I don't think we are truly willing, on either side of the great dividing line, to become a country that doesn't rule itself, no matter the cost.
