If a Utah judge rules in favor of the people, Utahs maps will be redrawn—looking likely to give Democrats two seats in the House. So, that could help a bit. Currently, Utah has zero Democrats in Congress, so this is also a big deal to us.

If Moderate GOP are supposed to be part of the Independents, then there aren't many left in Texas In some parts of the US, there are folks that are/were GOP like * Judge Luttig * George Conway * Liz Cheney * Bill Kristol * etc There doesn't seem to be many of those in TX. Just Sheep.

That’s too bad. I would think that there are people who have higher expectations of their government and don’t follow any party blindly. I left the GOP and became an independent I will vote for the candidate I believe will advance the best interests of my district.

Maybe some TX GOP Voters will have their consciences kick in by Nov '26, but I won't bet on it Sen Cornyn is quite Conservative, but challenger Paxton is full blown MAGA & is leading Cornyn in polling for GOP Primary. Paxton as the GOP candidate might be enough for some GOP Voters to vote Democrat
