The ABC sacked our colleague because of her political opinion and to appease a lobby group, the court found. And they spent more than $1 million on ridiculous defences including the she was never sacked and there is no such thing as a Lebanese race. Time for the ABC to rethink how it treats staff.

Many have been mentioned in evidence and in media. "Lawyers for Israel" is one that springs to mind. Some time spent in research will be rewarding.

It's a David v. Goliath story and the ABC picked the wrong target when they took on #AntoinetteLattouf. We admire her professional integrity and human compassion while her determination and courage in seeing this trial through should be an inspiration to us all. I think she's one amazing woman.

I’d go so far as to say the ABC management didn’t give a toss about Latouf’s political opinions *except* for and until the organized campaign by the “lobby group” and the pressure from the board. After that it was clear exactly why they suddenly found fault.. 🤷🏾🤦🏾🤪

She reposted a news item that the ABC itself had posted/tweeted. Nowhere in her contract did it say that she shouldn't post actual ABC news articles. That they can post about starvation but she can't has to make you wonder why she lost the racism point of the case.

The LNP govt went down that path with Blak&Write winner this year, author Ren Wyld. But that was the Qld government making an excuse to cancel the state literary awards and in truth they probably didn't need a reason. Campbell Newman cancelled the literary awards during his reign of destruction.
