There are plenty of small EVs, like the Fiat 500e, and they’re still a better choice than ICE vehicles, especially if you have a renewable energy source.

There are. Waiting for something nice though as I'm a car person. Will be getting solar soon, so it makes sense. I just refuse to buy an SUV 🤢
I’ll probably buy a Kia EV6 when my 12 year old Focus EV dies, but it’s still kicking. The EV6 is like a station wagon, which seems like a good compromise. The Focus uses a lot of its storage for batteries, and it’s difficult to carpool with 3 extra kids and their backpacks.
The EV6 is lovely actually. My husband was looking at one for when his 330 dies. Probably be a good dog car, but I need to check if the boot is aesthetic, or useful! Like those awful Evoque things you can't even get a bale of hay in. No thanks!
That’s the problem with my old Focus EV. They took half the cargo space up with a battery.
Ah. The old Focus estates were Tardises (Tardii?). I don't need much, just a few bags of feed, but I would like some space. My old 530 estate was epic - 9 food Christmas tree with no issues. I miss it in some ways!
Wagons are often useful, especially if you have a larger dog and go places.
When I say heavy, I mean relative to vehicle size. Battery + Motor weight.
