"Average critical disengagement," that's in interesting AI-industry euphemism. How long -- on average -- before the slop snaps or breaks and some human somewhere has to install more hot-glue or a zip-tie. *Good luck with that if you're moving at highway speeds when it happens.

I read this as them having decided there is an acceptable number of deaths, we just need to fine tune the systems to not exceed this limit...?
