Please amend « English » newspapers. Why should they be kept in darkness

It doesn’t help that, if you do speak of yourself as British on here, the Scots come for you to insist you identify as English.

I sometimes accidentally say "british people" in the context of brexit and get corrected often...e.g. "you meant english" but I haven't come across it in the context of identity. I joined the dots with the brexit vote not identity i.e. 62% of scots voted remain, 97% in Gibraltar and 56% in NI.

I visit often and notice that rise in "englishness" but I think it has been hijacked by farage / others. for me, it seems perfectly reasonable for english people to want to withdraw from the UK and e.g. have an english parliament for england but there's a toxic element now poisoning things.

Yes, I have never been lucky enough to stay there but we have been driven across the Alps and stooped at a few places many times. The Mountains take my breath away.

I know what you mean. It's like living in a postcard sometimes. I was based not far from Basel, about 1.5hrs drive away from the alps but recently relocated close to Lac Léman, down south.

I envy you, although I doubt I would leave my UK even if I could.
