As a reader, there are specific items in the book, like quotes, that connect intimately to you. AI summaries will just gloss over or exclude these areas. As a writer, building, making & contextualizing your argument is hard, but that's the whole essence of writing. AI will never be a substitute.

The fundamental fault of AI imo is that it presumes knowledge is floating around in pre-determined form, rather than a relationship always under construction. We do much harm to ourselves by thinking knowledge is only instrumental & can be consumed. (like MC obviously does) bsky.app/profile/mcub...
