I don’t disagree with that. But we’re three years out from it. I also believe in the end, the athlete should be the ones to choose, not you and me.
I don't think you and me get to choose this anyway. The real choice is whether boycotts happen on an individual or organizational level, and frankly, I would not envy the fusillade of negative attention garnered by whichever athletes get targeted by conservative media for personally opting out
The other side of that coin is the athletes that choose to participate get that negative attention from people on this thread.
I don't think that the kinds of "negative attention" that those two groups of people would receive is even remotely comparable, and it's also extremely unlikely that participating athletes would get singled out by progressives in the same way as boycotting ones by the conservative media machine
There comes a time when all patriots must come to the aide of their country
We're talking about the athletes of other countries coming to the US here, and it's still *better* if it's organizations that pull out on account of them not having lives to ruin.
