Iowa Democrats haven't had much to cheer in recent years. But a string of strong performances in special legislative elections are fueling hope that the party could flip some major Republican-held offices in next year’s midterm elections.

This is delicious "results show Drey winning 55% of the vote, versus 44% for Prosch, a 22-point reversal of the 2024 results and the first Democratic victory in the district in more than 15 years"

Democrats desperately need new blood because the old blood is just there to suck up a paycheck & not work for their party

I'm sure some Iowans are suffering under Trump. Their discomfort needs to be on full display & Dems offered as a more reasonable approach. (I was born in Iowa but left for good at 5. Raised mostly in Buffalo, NY but happily retired in CA.)

What are WE doing?!?!?!😳 @provokethought.bsky.social

If the Republicans have anything to do with voting there will not be an opportunity to flip anything. Stand strong, Dems!
