A man accused of throwing a sandwich at a federal officer in D.C. has been charged with misdemeanor assault. Federal prosecutors initially sought to secure felony charges against the man, dubbed "Sandwich Guy," but a grand jury declined to return that indictment.
As the saying goes “a grand jury will indict a ham sandwich”. Apparently, this absurd assault charge was too ridiculous for even a grand jury 🙄
