Perez is in an extremely tight rural swing district in Washington State. Rs could have passed this without any Ds. She’s likely trying to preserve her seat by appeasing the fringe in her district. I wouldn’t read too much into it..

Marie G. Perez is the only viable Democrat that's won two terms in this district; the other candidates are MAGA and worse MAGA. Her voting record is okay except for a couple of really bad ones like the SAVE act.
