I used to be good at standardized tests back in the day, but I'm honestly completely clueless about how to complete this analogy. I just guessed & selected option 3. Anybody know how I would even start this? I don't even know what I'm looking at here?

I signed up to read the explanation & the "expert" explanation doesn't even make sense to me.
I read it and I understand the cubes changing to triangles, but I don't understand how the number of dots within in them applies.
My guess was number 3 but I don’t really know
I chose 2 because in the top there were 8 things inside 6 things and it equaled 6 things inside of 8 things and so the bottom thing has 4 things inside of 9 things and I guess that's what your thing says, but whatever... lol
