folks who are so upset about this admin doing eugenics but were mostly fine with the last admin doing eugenics bc they saw those targets as disabled enough to not deserve life, jobs, being in public, etc. are getting a tough wakeup call about how eugenics works. I hope they internalize the lesson.

“it’s only eugenics if it’s not my side doing it” is not the cognitive dissonance i thought i would see when learning about eugenics in middle school- i thought we all just agreed they were bad. my fault for overestimating, really.

Anyway happy Labor Day and remember that being sick or disabled (or spreading illness and disability) is a huge labor rights and worker solidarity issue, especially in a country that ties healthcare to employment.

Commedian Josh Blue has a riff pointing out that the disabled are the largest minority group and that it is the only minority group you can join at any time. - you're one bad bike ride away.

“It’s only eugenics if it’s from a Nazi-era death camp, otherwise it’s just sparking social Darwinism.”
