Trump should have never been allowed to run the first time and more importantly the second time. It illustrates the moral and ethical bankruptcy of the political zeitgeist. Money, lies, corruption, and upward failure.

It’s wrong to suggest there should be some law forbidding businesspeople , or whatever Trump is , from running for office. Congress should just do their job

I was not suggesting business people should be barred. But an individual with multiple bankruptcies, sexual offences, and criminal convictions is hardly an ideal candidate. It smacks of sheer stupidity and hubris.

I understand. But making a law that convicted felons are disqualified means millions of people who simply gardened could not run. We have enough laws. I think doing away with the electoral college would be more meaningful

There needs to be an AMENDMENT to the Constitution that prevents a convicted FELON from running for and/or holding ANY elected office, especially PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES.

I don’t want more laws and amendments . They rarely work in our favor . What I want is a true opposition party which the democrats are not. Also amending the constitution would require ratification by 2/3 of the states and who knows what that amendment would look like if it did ?
