It's revisionist history to wash the blood off of their hands by a *faction of leftists. The far-right used lies, propaganda, & suppression to reach fascism, ONLY possible bc of an extreme SCOTUS. The far-left helped build SCOTUS in 2000/'16. Even bragged back then. Now? "It's the Dems' fault!"

Wow- way to pivot! Each of us needs to use our vote as we see fit. The Dem party needs to build a strategy using recent history. imo they should assume the same % of ref dems will not come out for their candidate - no matter who it is and go from there. This all assumes we get another shot at voting

I know I got shamefully suckered by the media in that accursed election. I was told so many times in every type of media that Bernie Sanders was unelectable and a waste of my vote. I was fool enough to believe them.

It wouldn’t have been wasted in the Primary, but if the outcome of that didn’t change it would have been wasted in the Gen. I liked HRCs experience, intelligence. I did not understand his healthcare for all plan. I did not like the idea of immediate family holding the presidency.

What I’m saying is I agree-a true sense of the numbers for Bernie and where they were, would have moved my primary vote to him. I truly admire HRC & thought we’d finally have a woman president but I should’ve gone to some of Bernie’s rallies and paid attention. I would not have risked my vote.

In 2000 and 2004 and 2016 and 2024 left-wing voters largely stayed loyal to the Democratic Party (for all the good it did them), in a more solid majority than the party clearly deserved. If the Dems needed even more unanimous support, they had themselves to blame...

My point is the arguments in favor of not voting for HRC or Harris all ignore that those were essentially votes for Trump- a fact this folks knew. So I get the ire, but considering the outcome is it time to accept some accountability or should we all count on not counting on those voters

Why can't you argue that not voting for the Republican is a vote for the Democrat? "If you aren't with us you're with the Bad Guys!" is a mindset that may win wars, but tends to lose elections...

Bcs it was too close. The numbers and history and that election proved otherwise. I hope the strategists will assume the same % of registered dems that didn’t vote/didn’t vote for Harris will repeat that course and work on fund raising, candidates and messaging. Who knows. I’ve never seen it so bad.
