3000 people are not dying every day at the hands of ice. That would definitely be news. This needs to be rephrased in a major way or you're purposely playing stupid to be cute.

Words matter. That wasn't said by the original poster. That's why I said it needs more work. This person is clearly baiting libs to cry and make fools of themselves over fantasy figures rather than make the real point you just said - which is poetic and poignant enough without fabrication.
