My born-again christian sister was a part of this initial wave calling believers to take leadership roles in gov't. It motivated her to obtain a seat on our rural school board. You can bet the farm that the true agenda was not known to her, as she would never have agreed to disempowering women. 1/2

It's widely known among churchgoers. It's hard to find churches that don't preach this. It's not that radical if you're a Christian. It's mostly normative in church culture.
I wouldn't start call them a minority of the Christian right until you find some evidence of that. It seems like a majority to me, but maybe I've just lived in all the wrong states.
