Perhaps I’m emphasizing tbd wrong commonality, but I think that Alberta’s promotion of/dependency on fossil fuel extraction is dangerous to democracy, just as ours in the U.S. has been. The oil oligarchs do not want to yield their ill-gotten power or wealth.
