People say, "the Bluesky metrics are down!", but comparable X/Twitter metrics are impossible b/c the site is so overrun by bots & troll farms. What we know for sure is that media websites say they get about 10 times the traffic from Bsky than they get from X/Twitter, which is nominally 10X bigger.
Also threads automatically reposts from fb and insta unless you turn it off so I’m guessing that most of those “active users” are nothing of the sort.

Yup. No question about it. They do. Indeed, Facebook has openly created fake user profiles.
I still remember when tech companies used to shut the doors whenever they lost actual users. Now they just use AI and bots to fool investors and the public at large 🤷♂️
