This is where I give you my spiel on Intention. When harm is done, especially by accident, due to not paying attention? Intention is meaningless. You are in the thread, but you weren't paying attention. You didn't know about the characteristics, now you do.

Going forward, NOW is when you need to start BEING MORE AND ACTUALLY Intentional. And it applies to EVERYTHING, but ESPECIALLY white men and women in the States. "I just forgot, I didn't mean to, that's not what I meant, it was an accident, why are you so mean?" If you've ever heard said that?

You've been living without intention and causing harm, even if it's "just" hurt feelings, to others around you that you care about and those you don't even know. We white people in the States are absolutely the worst offenders, trying to use Intention to remove accountability for ourselves, daily

So while some will say this is chastising, ok it is. Because we white people in the States should've been chastised about our inherent racism and sexism from childhood. And we weren't. So we gotta talk to each other and teach each other. Cuz it's on us to undo what's always benefited us alone.

White racism will only lessen if white people call it out consistently to other white people because it is a white people problem. And if you’re not willing to help dismantle it then you are a cog in the white supremacy machine.

Do you think it’s important to call out and confront racism wherever we see it? If so, then I recommend you stop lecturing people that “it’s not about race.” That’s what white racists do to deflect, deny, and excuse white supremacy.
