I was trying to point out that Kamala's campaign failed to turnout her supporters, even people of color. There's more to her loss than just "white people". Turnout was down for Kamala across the board, not just one demographic. I'm not blaming people of color, I'm blaming Kamala's campaign.
It’s funny because if you listen to people like Gov Pritzker or analysts like Simon Rosenberg they paint the opposite picture. VP Harris ran an astonishingly successful campaign in spite of saboteurs—to get as far as she did w/only 107 days to run was nothing short of exemplary.
What it all comes down to, is that not being Donald Trump was not enough for too many white people. They didn't fear him, but they clearly feared having a Black woman in the White House. They feared that more than fascism. And I'm absolutely including the leftists and purity voters.
That is perfect! And we can apply that to what's going on with Newsom right now. Is he my fave? No. Do I want him to be POTUS? Also no. But is he the guy right now? Yes. So, I'll work with what we have, and then work harder to make it better for everybody, once we're back on track, powerwise.
I think I saw it in some comments about people being ridiculous about Newsom for exactly what you’re saying & now I’ve been using it constantly including offline. 😂
