That's a good song. September can feel more like the beginning of the year than January. At least to me.
It certainly can feel like things have made a turn. Here, today, it feels like I hope they make a turn soon. Supposed to be 33+C/92F That's hot for us
And we used to go back to school then and get new books.
In grades 1-6, we carried our pencils, crayons etc in an empty cigar box. Cigar boxes were cool, except for the cigars. I liked the way the thick lid fit down into the box to stay shut.
Where did we get the cigar boxes?
For us, a tiny local family owned grocery store saved empty boxes for school kids That was another world
It certainly was.
I seem to recall using cigar boxes, but I can't remember where we got them.
