Every rule deserves an exception. And Zelensky is an exceptionally excellent exception. (Unless he's just such an amazing actor that he's playing the part of a strategic and stalwart leader, instilled with integrity. If so, I'm okay with that.)

He announced his campaign in Philadelphia, MS, where 3 civil rights workers were killed, by saying, "I'm for states' rights!" He talked about the "welfare queen" with the Cadillac, when the real welfare queens are the rich.

The beginning of the breaking of the social contract. Privatization. AIDS Greed is good Welfare Queens But he tempered it with actions and speeches that people admired. " Tear down this wall" for ex. I was vehemently opposed to him. Still am.
And I despise what he did to President Carter and the hostages. Reagan sabotaged Carters Presidency and I will never forgive the GOP!
Nixon sabotaged LBJ on the Vietnam peace talks. It was never about " simply having a different opinion" Trump made what already existed blatantly obvious and escalated what already was there.
And made me pay taxes on a $450 a month stipend in grad school. Great prez? Never!

Me too! I was 12! Seriously arguing with almost every adult I knew that Reagan sounded like a quack and what did an old mediocre actor know about economics. He managed to convince generations of Americans to continue paying taxes in exchange for nothing.
A large segment of lazy Americans perpetually seeking a Hollywood fashioned hero to save them; mostly from themselves 🫠. A lotta Hollywood 💰💰 backed that campaign/election.
