It’s been a solid day and that shit is still visibly pink
Wowza. Opposite problem in this arid climate - better get the job done fast because the whole package is going to be solid white in 10m flat.
Oh gosh yeah I could see how that could present a different set of issues too!
Check it with a fingernail or something once it looks good and dry. It's humid here too and mine was pink and then white for days until it was dry and solid. In between it was solid white but still pliable. I ended up putting a heater in the room to help bake it but I'm unsure if that was correct
Over the last 25 years of home ownership I have never seen a drywall/paint/handyman guy who didn't have some sort of a "super jet blowdryer" heat gun in his van because...humidity just is.
Well… some patching mud needs time to dry, and using a hair dryer or heat gun can shorten that… especially if ts a thin skim coat
I’ve learned this in my new job… the different types of “mud” and their drying times, how much they shrink, how thick you can apply them… Long story short, get the thick quick-dry 25 minute mud, and dilute it with water for a drywall or skim-coat thickness. If you’re in a hurry, dry it w/hairdryer
Yeah when I took a shower today the humidity-sensor fan controller in my bathroom didn’t notice ><
