I went to Walmart Pharmacy today and I got three vaccines. I was OK until about two hours ago and OMG I am flat on my back now🥴 after getting the flu shingles and pneumonia vaccines all on the same day! Better to be vaccinated and knocked on your butt for a day versus the other possible results👍
I wait at least one week apart.
The shingles vaccine is usually a bigger slap than the others, and you get to have a follow up too, but the second one is much easier to take.

IMHO...multiple vaccines at once is quite a shock load for our bodies to handle. I stopped getting multiples after Covid came to be. I'm healthy yet would get really sick for 3-5 days after multiple vaccines. Now I get one at a time. I only feel a little yucky for hours rather than sick for days.
I agree. I had the flu and COVID shots on the same day a couple years ago and ended up in the ER with a 104 fever I couldn't get down. I now wait a week between vaccines and haven't had any issues.
We have Covid vaccines scheduled for this Friday. My wife would not let me get the flu shot at the same time.
I did flu and pneumococcal on Saturday. Was a little groggy, tired, and had a sore arm. My husband had all of that and chills/aches. I had the shingles one a month ago. About a year ago, I tried to get the flu, covid, and shingles at once. Pharmacist convinced me not to.
Shingrex will do that all on its own. Not clear your malaise is result of combo.

I had no rxns to any, but my wife’s arm blew up like a balloon after pneumonia, which has just started to recede after 5 days!

OMG. Yes. I've gotten multiple ones at once. Only 2 though. A Covid booster & Shingrix at the same time last year. Got a bump & bruise at the Shingrix site. Drs got all excited & wouldn't give me the RSV shot. I FINALLY whined & persisted enough. They gave it to me last month. No reaction.

I have had Shingles and I forgot to get that vaccine. In February I went to my doctor and got the flu, pneumonia and Covid vaccines because I wanted to get them before RFK Jr. got in. I knew he would be confirmed. But I forgot about the Shingles. Thank you for the reminder.
Yeah shingles was bad for me. A bad day or day and a half. Second dose too. Never had a problem with anything else
It was the shingles vaccine. It is notorious for that. Maybe doing the others at the same time made it worse. You'll find out when you do the second installment. It is worth it not to get shingles. That is a real beast.

Or, you could’ve spread them out. Still get the protection, but easier on the body.
Three is a lot to have at once. The shingles vax can kick your ass too. Some are knocked for a loop by the first shot, others (like me) by the second. But it passes in a day or so. And I'm SO GLAD to be protected! The shingles virus is NO JOKE! A friend lost sight in one of his eyes because of it.
Glutton for punishment. The shingles shot alone will kick your ass. And you’ve got to get another one in 6 months.
Congrats. Every time I see my doc, she always asks me if I have had this or that vaccine. She is on top of it. I found the shingles vax was a bit more difficult than all the others for some reason.
Ibuprofen or acetaminophen will help. Took me three days after just the shingles. Much bed rest to you. The first night was worst for me. Did mine four days ago. Good to have gotten them. Feeling bad after just means they're working. Hugs.

You're braver than I am. I got the COVID-19 and flu shot on the same day, and that laid me out for a day and a half. I don't think I'd even try to get three vaccinations at once.

I got shingles, covid, pneumonia and mmr - two in each arm. Early in the day, then went home and went to bed…for two days. Second shingles wasn’t nearly as bad, but I allowed extra time after the first one
Good for you on that front the side effects minuscule at best as you full well know any type of vaccine affects ppl differently, 1 yr ago I'd had 0 side effects from both flu and Covid19 MRNA vaccines ya have a good one.

Did the same but also included a Covid booster. Same reaction as you - lasted about 24 hours. Totally worth it.

I saw this post and that’s what I heard as well, but not in my case. I had very severe reaction a day after the 2nd Shingrex vax that lasted for two awful hours. I never had a problem like that. I’d like to file a VAERS report on it but don’t want to assist the crazies running the current CDC.

I’m an anti-BOM vaxer… lol. But it does happen to the 1% or whatever. I nearly called 911 but was shaking, so unsteady I couldn’t walk, with a flaming fever, shivering (90s outside), hyperventilating and heart pounding. A real hoot.🦉 I’m just saying be careful with the Shingrex.

Most I ever reacted to a vaccine was the pneumonia vaccine. I left work early the day after, pulled into my garage, and fell asleep before I could even get out of the car. (Yes, I had turned off the engine 😉)

Just had that one last Thursday. I had a fever, bad headache, achy body, & some chills for over 12 hrs. Much worse than a sore arm from covid shots. Still have the 2nd one to go. Glad I went out, & mowed my yard for some physical exercise the next morning. Worth the $, to not get shingles though.
Lol - I got 4 shots on one day (the pharmacist was not supportive 😕) and felt miserable for 36 hours. But morally felt great! 😂

Absolutely, and good for you! Got all the shingles and pneumonia vaccines a while back. Have an appointment at Walgreens on Thursday to get this year's flu and the latest Covid vaccines.
I am always glad to see people get vaccinated! 💙 You could spread them out, two on one day, the third a few days later, or spread all three out within a week. It may be inconvenient to go back to the pharmacy twice or three times, but it is possible to avoid the "knock out" effect. I do that. 👍
My pharmacist would have me do them together but I spread them out. Flu is usually not bad for me but Shingles and Covid shots were rough for me. I usually run a high fever with the Covid shot.

I stagger them, every two weeks. Gives the body time to develop immunity without overwhelming the system.
I got that triple a few years ago. Other than two sore shoulders, no side effects. You're right though; better safe than sorry.

I got kicked on a flu & COVID twofer, and went back to getting them separately. I’d prefer to knock which one is kicking me. Just personal preference.

Just to be clear, the second time I was infected with shingles, was 50 times worse than any shot. The two shots were nothing to me, as I had just had shingles 6 months before. My bad in being clear.

I was knocked on my butt for a day too when I got my second #COVID19 booster shot in spring 2021. It was worth it. That meant I could get out without having to worry about getting sick and dying or spreading it to others.

2 years ago I got the Covid, flu , and rsv. Same thing happened. 24 -36 hours.
I always take it as a positive sign; that my immune system system both noticed the challenge and is doing something about it.
Shingles is a hard one. Take some ibuprofen and rest up. You’ll have flu-like symptoms. The second one is also bad but shingles is 100 times worse.

I get Covid shots in Oct and April, and a flu shot in Nov. Flu season peaks in Dec/Jan, and like Covid, the flu vaccine's efficacy fades within just a few months. For max protection you want to wait until the early signs that a flu wave is starting to get the shot. Can't really do that with Covid.

How long does it knock you down for? I need to schedule myself for it, but have to plan it around my daughter's class schedule.
The day after your arm might hurt a good bit and you'll feel very sluggish, but you should be fine in 48 hrs. Drink lots of fluids and sleep it off if you can.
I remember my shingles vaccine. I was knocked on my ass for a day. Drink a lot of water. Rest. Sleep.
I was knocked out the day after but on the mend by the day after that. Plan on lots of TLC for at least 1-2 days.
