When dorks like Pete Hegseth and Doug Wilson want to deny our basic right to vote, all I hear is “oh god the idea of the person whose cooperation I need for reproduction having equal control in decision making makes me scared enough to wet myself” all that gorilla like bluster hides a feeble whiner

I would say that people too immature to handle a level democratic playing field shouldn’t vote, but practically, universal suffrage is the only defensible position; we have a history of things like poll taxes, literacy tests, and other restrictions actually disenfranchising women and minorities
