Instead of buying US arms in the guise of aid, wouldn't NATO allies just use those funds to buy EU arms from people not constantly threatening them with tariffs or trying to run the foreign aid equivalent of setting up a Quality Foods store during a famine.
I'm not supporting Trump, in fact I fucking hate him, but unfortunately Europe has completely failed in ramping up production to levels needed to even remotely support Ukraine. They've completely failed Ukraine and for all the rhetoric they spew should be ashamed.
Europe has had 11 years since the terrorist state of Russia invaded Ukraine to wake up & smell the coffee. Quite frankly they are useless, hiding behind Uncle Sam's skirt, paralysed with fear. All they've done, are still doing, is have meeting after meeting, do photo ops & waffle. Where's the beef?
Europe gives more aid to Ukraine than the US. 75% of US aid doesn't go to Ukraine. It's mostly spent domestically on the US military and corporate welfare for the arms industry. Changing aid into guns for cash is the US government going after the last 25-30% of aid that actually went to Ukraine.
Yes I know, USA is not providing any substantial aide to Ukraine since TACO Trump came to power, which means three things: 1. The USA is not honouring the commitments given in the Budapest Memorandum to Ukraine. 2. Trump is still owned by Putin, just making a cut on weapons. 3. Trump is FoS.
This isn't entirely true.. The money going into the US is for replacement of the old weapons being sent. The US has most certainly sent a lot of military aid to Ukraine.
The real point is that MAGA Morons have been spouting nonsense figures about money being sent to Ukraine when most of it didn't leave the USA. A lot of stuff sent was end of life & would have been replaced anyway. Now they don't even do that but get Europeans to pay for it. Despicable of the USA!
