Perhaps, but Trump going would create enormous friction in the Administration and consequently potentially wiggle room as those Republicans who do support Ukraine find their voices and have greater influence with Vance, given no-one, not even MAGA like him. He's be a weak president.

I sure hope you are right. Although his billionaire tech bros might find it easier to run (& ruin) the administration via their puppet in the Oval Office. Hopefully his unpopularity & unlikeability will be a liability and strengthen the administration despite all their efforts to further weaken it.

At present, Trump has the whip-hand over GOP in Congress. They do what they're told due to fearing his ability to boost a political rival. If Vance doesn't inherit and can't deliver Trump's MAGA base for the GOP then the cowards in Congress might reevaluate their positions and ambitions.
