We have a few teams in The Pioneer League in Montana whose logos and names are awesome. Here’s the top 3. 3) Great Falls Voyagers. Their mascot is named “Orbit”. It has to do with someone seeing flying saucers across the river. 2) Missoula Paddleheads. The mascot is a moose. I’ve never heard of
A moose called a Paddlehead but either way, great mascot. 1) The Glacier Range Riders. Don’t so much love the name but the mascots (they have 2) are an excellent representation of the area. There’s the goat and the beaver. The beaver in the red bus is excellent. Total GNP.

Best time to visit after Labor Day Catch a Griz game and the park isn’t as busy. Late September you’ll get turning leaves and turning larch in the park . Drive hwy 83 in the morning in the fall. The Swan and Missions are stunning and those larch trees turning make the drive
Weirdly, I don't think I've ever visited Missoula—I'll have to add it to my itinerary for my next trip. (Weirdly because my dad grew up in the Idaho panhandle and I've camped around the Lolo Pass a bunch of times. But my non-camping visits to MT have mostly been down by Bozeman/Yellowstone.)
Missoula is a GEM! It’s such a great city. Go to Glacier while you can and while it’s still standing. This is the Many Glacier Lodge.
