I'm curious to see how fast the wheels come off if Trump dies. It's hard to see the same cult of personality coalescing around Vance or Russell Vought, and there's a reason why Stephen Miller has to be kept out of sight. And I can't imagine one of Trump's failsons inheriting the mantle, DPRK-style.
Only time will tell, but I think Vance - horribly disliked across the political spectrum - will have a hard time keeping the coalition together. The MAGA cult will splinter in interesting and varied ways. Republican politicians won't fear J.D. like they fear Trump. Big question: Cabinet shakeup?
Depends who’s holding the kompromat. I don’t think much changes at all, unfortunately.
They just need him alive long enough for fascism to really take root; after that, it doesn’t matter if the people like whomever they put in office or not. He is a conduit, that’s it.
