Australia has the ABC, which is national public broadcastor. I wouldn’t say our billionaires are loyal to Trump, I would say our billionaires are loyal to themselves and push reporting that benefits their agendas while silencing stories/angels that might work against them.

ABC used to be the most reliable source of news. After years of a right wing govt, the ABC was sabotaged by ex-Murdoch employees. Now Aust’s govt is right wing even though the party in govt is touted as our left wing party. (They’re “shit-lite” instead of “shit”, from @thejuicemedia.bsky.social)

The ABC is dependant on govt funding. The govt is pandering to big business and mining because they are *not* left wing and seem to have forgotten who 99% of voters are.
