Both my parents were U.S citizens my father was a USAF Pilot Captain and he and his crew went down in the last days of Vietnam. Bodies were never found.. MIA to KIA 10 yrs later. My mother died in 1997 a yr later after being hit by a drunk driver on her way home from her nursing shift.
I'm 💔 for your pain. My father served in Vietnam too im told. Idk much really. I was 10 when he died and my mother lied to me daily so she got away with it. So I can't trust anything of what she said.
Your mother sounds like she needed a mental health facility. I am so sorry you had to experience a mother that didn’t show you how to survive and thrive. No child should ever go through that.

I can heal. I will never be what I might have. The only one in my memory who encouraged me wasn't my "parents". He was a Saturn Rocket engineer the math was slightly above me though. I'm more polyglot.
