Idk what "ken" means. It's ok to start with sex but you need to explain how it renders my claim irrelevant. If you want to compare states you are putting lives and cultures under one umbrella and you don't want me to do that. What's up with that?

I hope you can appreciate that this all started with a claim you haven’t defended. Lost in semantics you place the onus on me. Ken means “you understand?” Context: Kid of an immigrant. Kid of a big family. So in belief you’re asking in good faith I start with recorded evidence: 1/3
San Antonio, TX had the highest population of underage pregnancies for a long time. Sex ed was abstinence and fear tactics. Including discussions on safe sex helped. Evidence like this has been repeatedly recorded throughout the world. 2/3 sanantonioreport.org/teen-pregnan...
I never said this wasn't true. I'm not sure what you're trying to prove here.
This is because your original claim is broad. Intent aside you have correlated higher birthrates with higher hope- this is an assumption “they believe they have a chance to live life as good as ours.” 1. Do they believe this? 2. Who’s they? 3. Finland, Denmark, and Iceland rank high on happiness.
1. Yes I do. 2. "They" are the people who live elsewhere (i know it's a great simplification!). 3. It's possible to be happy and concerned about the future.
We will not solve the issue of the declining population on social media. The main point of my original post, was that any single state can't do much to reverse it. Thank you for pressing me :) I'd love to talk to you in person. i'm sorry, I am not be able to express myself clearly enough here.
Have a great day
Yes it is possible to be happy while life is hard. It’s something I share a lot. My point, tho: People don’t see the US like US people do. Some see it as it is sold and some don’t. And there are people in the US who suffer a whole lot, who know how to be happy even when they starve. 1/7
Birth rates and happiness don’t cause each other. To assume wanting a kid is a sign of happiness assumes a lot. To assume otherwise is also a lot. Assumptions over facts leaves room for errors that can harm. Like those who build churches to solve hunger. An action based on a belief.
I know hopeful people, who choose to not have kids. I know hopeless people, who’s religion encourages them to have kids. I myself think people are too focused on birth rates when it truly isn’t an issue, esp. since racists fall on both ends of that topic.
3/3 Access to education and contraceptives give people a choice. Without either there’s only abortion, which usually is missing if the aforementioned are too. The other part of this convo is me telling you to understand the diff between correlation, coincidences, and your own beliefs.
This also doesn't contradict my claim. You attack me, because my argument doesn't meet your beliefs. The world is more complicated that you think
Attack, this is your perception. Not my intent. That aside, sorry. But I gave you data, and you only shared your views. My reaction is fed by well meaning leftists doing harm to those they want to help. What do you mean “they believe that their kids have a chance to live a life as good as ours”?
