thanks for your reply. Maybe in a broad stroke overview, but on the ground countless abuses continued, including (former) Nazi judges ruling against victims. No denying Germany has excelled at creating an open society, but for the most part, there was no individual accountability and punishment.

Well, for some there was alienation and hatred from their own families when the truth came out. I think that was a lot of what 1968 was about in West Germany...

thanks for this reply as well. I agree. The initial post to which I replied, however claimed trump and MAGA+collaborators would be held to account as happened in Germany- hence my initial comment about most Nazis never being held to account never facing punishment (through the judicial system).
