I'd say that's a sure bet. And they'll try to use it to arrest and deport him. The Trump administration is just that evil.

I would like to know what happened to him. Gonna see if I can figure it out. Will report back. He had a very American accent. Sounds like he was raised in New York City. But that doesn’t mean ice won’t lock him up until they’re good and ready to release him.

Oh wow. I feel sorry for them - the falsely arrested guy and the people who were shot. - I want to find some sympathy for the shooter, too, but he picked the wrong way to make his point. He had no right to shoot and/or kill anyone - they were not to blame for the wrong allegedly done to him.

Not for nothing, the last time I was in or near Rockefeller Center, I saw more cops there than I had probably total in 20 years I spent working in that complex, excluding tree lighting or holidays So much for all the OT we’re paying for them to keep us safe.

I still have friends who work in that area. 😔 I worked in that area before and after September 11. And in the days/few weeks after September 11th, I never felt as unsafe as something like this makes me feel.

Let's be real. It's getting national attention because it's in midtown (and not Times Square) and not in literally any other NYC neighborhood

I do know why it’s getting national attention, but also there aren’t a lot of AR-15 active shootings anywhere in New York City. Active shooter situations get broadcast nationally when they happen.In suburban office parks too.

I mean, I work at one of the local news stations and if this was almost anywhere else in the city we'd shrug and debate covering it

If you worked for one of the local news stations, you were probably either a couple of blocks west or by Lincoln Center (prob 10-15 minute jog away) and I’m pretty sure you would’ve run to the scene too because it’s in your backyard.

Well, this is one of my more paranoid thoughts coming true — when the Supreme Court installed by Trump decided to negate New York City gun laws I was sure it was gonna act as a dog whistle for these kinds of loons to come in to my city and take pot shots “to own the Libs”
