Feel a bit sorry for Potter. Wanted him for us after leaving Chelsea. But… has he lost his touch or been the victim of chaotic & uncontrollable circumstances?

Fair to say Brighton have been a well oiled machine the last few years, infrastructure, recruitment, all spot on, without the big club pressure. Hasn’t been up to it since.

I’d love to know what they even mean by that. Feels a bit overanalysed jargony to me. Aren’t all managers project managers? The job is a project by definition, regardless of the objective. If they mean a long term manager, I’d argue Chelsea & West Ham do aim for that, they’ve just impatient owners

Means it is a club where you are building from a low base and have time to develop the team. West Ham deffo isn't that.

Re Potter; didn’t we sound him out for the Leeds job before Farke but he thought he was bigger than the championship? I also wanted him at the time, but maybe we dodged a bullet. Maybe he’s not all that after all.

I don't think he'd work at Leeds. We'd eat him alive. Need to be a very strong character and have the skin of a rhino to be our manager or a player.
