My Hard Opinion is you cannot call yourself a patriot if you don’t go to your local fair and nod approvingly at everyone’s beautiful quilts, lovely pies and amazing gourds

That’s *amazing*.
Cake decorators are underrated, just generally
[THAT is a cake.]
You should have given us a trigger warning.
i did not even know there was a quilt competition at the (next county over, to be fair) fair until this year and i had such a good time. there was an abstract one i would straight up display framed on a wall if i had a wall big enough for it
You know how medieval lords put up beautiful tapestries all over their homes? That but a Really Good Quilt.
lemme see if i can find the funky one i loved
UGH i could have sworn i took a picture of it but it's not there
Nevertheless I believe you that it was stunning
the only way i can describe it is as a situationist quilt
Oh the trees!!!
Looks like something you’d see in Better Homes and Gardens!
Both are good, but the one on the right is FIRE 🔥 dat scrollwork!
Oooh, love that one with the trees on the left. People will forever awe me with their talents and skills, one of the best things about humanity IMO.
Aunt B's home made pickled cucumbers taste like kerosene. Andy Griffith show episode. She thought they were great. Fair judges, not so much.
we support quilters and their delicious pies not because it is easy, but because it is delicious and easy
Agreed but quilting is like. The hardest fuckin thing
oh i meant supporting them, quilting is hard as shit
Haha gotcha
I went to the Western Montana Fair of all places, and the art was OUTSTANDING.
Looks like a great day—love the trees quilt!
